IXIS™ Genomic Software License and Customization   (Specifications)

In order to obtain value from gene expression in the context of molecular toxicological, pharmacological, chemical and drug discovery information, a robust and flexible database architecture is required that enables storage, analysis, cross-correlation and visualization of hundreds of millions of data points across a disparate collection of data types. For companies that are seeking a software solution to integrate data from multiple domains including gene expression, histopathology, and clinical chemistry, the Iconix Xtensible Informatics System (IXIS) Software is available for licensing and customization. The IXIS architecture is a sophisticated, multi-dimensional data reporting analysis and interpretation system that was developed to support the Iconix DrugMatrix data set. In its empty form, it is composed of an Oracle database schema, a BEA Weblogic™ Java™ application server, and a Tibco General Interface™ user interface. The construction of an extensive and well-conceived application logic on top of these industry standard toolkits allows Iconix to collaborate with you to develop and rapidly deliver a customized, stable, scalable and flexible tool that supports the scientific needs of molecular toxicology, pharmacology, chemistry and drug discovery.

IXIS software is capable of handling multiple types of data. In its current version, the software integrates data from the following domains: gene expression, histopathology, clinical chemistry, molecular pharmacology, literature, pathways, and compound structures. In addition, IXIS software incorporates analytical and statistical tools that take advantage of the integrated nature of the dataset, allowing the construction of sophisticated queries across the information, and the analysis of data in all information domains. Finally, the IXIS Software interfaces with external data analysis tools such as Spotfire, and the MDL ISIS molecular structure database system, as well as providing an open, documented database that can be accessed from any software that can connect to Oracle.

In addition to IXIS licensing, the experts who built and maintain the database and architecture at Iconix Biosciences are available on a customization and contract basis to work with Informatics Groups to integrate the IXIS architecture into your existing framework, and provide custom tools and capabilities in order to develop and streamline data loading from a a wide variety of existing databases and data types.
